Product Details About the Author.
About the Author California girl Margaret Lesh is a freelance court reporter. I carried the envelopes containing the films down that long hall not knowing that my life would soon change forever. So why did I feel so awkward and self-conscious when telling others about my upcoming bilateral mastectomy? I can still remember sitting at a table full of people at a luncheon and having the feeling that everyone knew about my upcoming surgery.
I felt their sympathy waves washing over me.
I saw the looks on their faces. So I started writing about my feelings and experiences, the good, the bad, and the absurd.
